Personality insights
Personality insights are part of a standard feature that can be deactivated for your organisation.
Personality insights can be accessed in the Compare Candidate(s) page. They are based on Personality (MAP) assessment data and do not represent a match with the job. A high score for one of the scales may actually mean a lower match to the job depending on which behaviours are required for the job.
Assessio advises to use the Match scores to investigate person-job fit. Only use personal scores for further analysis.
The personal scores are normative, meaning the score on each scale is a relative indication on where the Candidate is compared to other people, or to what is "normal". After taking the assessments, Candidates receive a score between 0-10.
- 0 - 3 are considered lower than average.
- 3 - 7 are considered average.
- 7 - 10 are considered higher than average
Higher than average does not mean "better" and lower than average does not mean "worse".
The scores indicate relative behavioural tendencies in an individual. If you are for example high on Agreeableness it is likely that you will be perceived as more trusting, warm, caring and supportive towards others compared to someone low on this scale. It does not mean someone with a low score can't behave in a trusting, warm and supportive way. It only means someone with a high score is more likely to behave that way. You can see the behaviours associated with lower and higher scores on all potential scales below. The five scales are measured using MAP and related to the Big Five model of personality.
| Lower scores (0-3) | Higher scores (7-10) | |
| Agreeableness | More independent, restrained, objective and individualistic | More trusting, warm, caring and supportive towards others |
| Conscientiousness | More flexible, changeable, spontaneous and intuitive | More focused, goal oriented, systematic and structured |
| Emotional Stability | More sensitive and responsive. More affected by external circumstances | More stable and confident. Less affected by external circumstances |
| Extraversion | More introvert, low key, and independent of others. Less need for attention | More energetic, enthusiastic and socially dominant. Greater need for attention |
| Openness | More down-to-earth and practical. Prefers the familiar and already proven | More explorative and conceptual. Greater need for new experiences and change |
