English Language Test
What is measured?
Q1000 English Language Test measures the level of proficiency in the English language. The test provides an idea of the level at which (written) communication can be achieved. Does the candidate know the correct meaning of words? Can they draw a conclusion based on an English text?
When to use it?
The English Language Test can be used for suitability determination for positions for which (written) communication in the English language is important.
Why use it?
The test has 6 sections: ;

Verbs: correct tense and correct conjugation

Words in context: complete missing word, such as prepositions

Vocabulary: what does the word mean in the sentence, English equivalents

Social conventions: for example, what do you say when a greeting?

Expressions: idiomatic expressions

Reading comprehension: for example "What would be an appropriate title?" "What does the writer want?"
How to use it?
The final score uses the Common European Framework of Reference for Modern Foreign Languages. This is divided into levels A1 to C2. The test gives a score for passive knowledge from levels A1 to B2, level C is not measured. Skills such as writing, listening and speaking were not examined in this test. The test takes approximately 25 minutes.
