What is measured?
The QWBN Work Types questionnaire identifies someone’s interest in various tasks and activities. Regardless of their age, education level, or employment situation, all people benefit from
having a clear understanding of their professional preferences. According to scientific literature, professional interests are an important determinant of a person's career behaviour.
When to use it?
If the participant is interested in receiving vocational advice, the results can be used to discuss their career options and support them in making a choice. When (re)assigning employees to different projects, it can be use to determine the most attractive work activities for them. When it comes to development plans, it is important to consider not just the person’s qualities, but also their wishes. QWBN Work Types can help you clarify the candidate's preferences regarding organisational sectors and work activities.
Why use it?
Whether you are at the start of your career or are already well advanced: it helps if you know what work you like to do. That helps you in making your choices. The more the work you do matches your interests, the greater the chance that you will be satisfied.
How to use it?
All work types are listed in the report, but only those that interest
the candidate are described. The report also includes examples of occupations that are in
accordance with candidate’s preferred work types. Many career advisors like to work according to the Holland profile or the RIASEC code. So QWBN Work Types also gives information about the candidate’s scores on the 6 human typologies identified by Holland.
