The website does not work

If the web page is not working, check the error message displayed on the screen. There are several causes, each with its own solution:

  • Do you see “Unfortunately, your browser is out of date“, or “The web page does not meet security requirements“? Then the solution is to copy and paste the link from your mail into the address bar of another browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. If possible, please update your browser to the latest version.

  • If you see “An error has occurred“, please check that you are using the correct internet address. You can find it in the activation email and copy and paste it into your browser’s address bar. (Note: if it is an activation email, use the link in the section “To log in next time…”.)

  • If you have opened the web page from your favourites/bookmarks bar and get an error message, the web page has not been saved correctly. You can fix this with these steps (NEW ARTICLE)

If it still doesn’t work:

then there is probably information stored in the internet browser that is incomplete or corrupted. Clearing the cache and deleting cookies usually helps to solve browser problems. This is how you solve it:

  • Open your browser.

  • Press Ctrl, Shift and Delete at the same time.

  • A window opens. Tick ‘History’ and press Clear Browser Data.

  • Close the browser, open it again and go to the login page

Optionally, you can also try this for you specific browser:

Google Chrome:

Click the 3 dots symbol at the top right of the internet browser. Click on ‘Settings’.

Click ‘History’ at the top left and select ‘Clear browser history’ at the top.

Close the page. Changes to settings are saved automatically.

Close the browser, open it again and go to the login page

Mozilla Firefox:

Click the 3 lines symbol at the top right of the internet browser.  Click on Settings.

Click ‘Privacy and security’ at the top left and scroll to ‘Cookies and Site data’. Then click the ‘Clear data’ button.

Close the page. Changes to settings will be saved automatically.

Close the browser, open it again and go to the login page

Safari:

Click ‘Safari’ at the top left and click ‘Settings’. A window opens. Click the ‘Advanced’ tab on the right.

At the bottom, put a tick next to ‘Show Develop menu in menu bar’ and close the window. At the top of the menu bar, it now says ‘Develop’. Click on it.

Then click on ‘Empty caches’. The cache in your Safari web browser has now been emptied.
